Message affects the airflow. There is extra turbulence caused by the way the pipe sits in the flange.

Gred D's DPs are welded on the inside and ground smooth. That extra flow helps SPOOL a lot. When you can spool faster you gain power faster. If you gain more power early in the RPM range, you have more Area under the curve. If you have more AUC, than you are faster. That's even if you don't gain more power.

The Super splits also help spool.

Overall you will GAIN from getting Greg D's DPs. If you can't afford it now, SAVE up for them. With the amount of work involved in putting DPs in might as well do it right.
